Cristina Blanco-Andujar has held various positions throughout their career. Cristina started as a PhD student at University College London in 2009 and completed their studies in 2014. After that, they worked as a Research Associate at the Toyohashi University of Technology for a brief period in 2014.
In 2014, Blanco-Andujar joined CNRS as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institut de Physique et Chimie des Matériaux de Strasbourg (IPCMS). During their time there, they were involved in two projects in collaboration with clinical teams at hospitals in Strasbourg and Lyon. Their work included synthesis of magnetic materials, functionalization with RNA and complex sugars, experimental planning, and report writing. Cristina also trained PhD students on instrumentation use and project management and presented at international conferences. Blanco-Andujar remained at CNRS until October 2016.
Since 2016, Blanco-Andujar has been with MediSieve Limited. Cristina started as a University College London Research Associate in November 2016 and held this role until March 2017. From April 2017 to March 2018, they served as a Product Development Manager. From April 2018 to March 2019, they were the Head of Research and Development. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Technology Officer, starting in April 2019.

Before pursuing their PhD, Cristina Blanco-Andujar attended Nottingham Trent University, where they earned an MChem degree. Additionally, they obtained a Licentiate in Chemistry from Universitat Rovira i Virgili, although the start and end years for these degrees are not specified.
In terms of additional certifications, Cristina Blanco-Andujar obtained the CIEH Foundation Occupational Health and Safety certification from The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health in July 2019.
