Marijo (Silvia) Carnino has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Marijo began their career as a Blood Bank Technologist at South Shore Hospital in 1985. Marijo then moved on to work as a Medical Technologist at the American Red Cross in 1986. In 1987, they joined Dedham Medical Associates in the same role. At the same time, they also joined MEDITECH as the Senior Director of Corporate Governance and EHR Safety, where they are responsible for leading and collaborating with teams on various activities related to EHR safety, certification, regulatory affairs, and strategic project management. Marijo also serves on several boards within the company, including the MEDITECH and Customer EHR Patient Safety Review Board, the MEDITECH Regulatory Board, the MEDITECH Data Governance Board, and the MEDITECH Quality Management Advisory Board.

Marijo (Silvia) Carnino has a diverse education history. Marijo obtained a Master's degree in Management from Lesley University between 1985 and 1987. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (MT ASCP) from Fitchburg State University between 1982 and 1985. Marijo also pursued studies in Biology/Pre-Medical Studies at the University of Maine from 1981 to 1982. Marijo completed their high school education at Duxbury High School from 1977 to 1981. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a certificate in Quality and Safety from the IHI Open School in 2019. Marijo also holds the MT ASCP certification, which they obtained in 1985.
