Peter N. Braido

Peter N. Braido has over 20 years of experience in research and development in the medical technology field. From 1999-2003, they worked as a Research and Development Intern at Baxter Healthcare Corporation, where they developed testing criteria, investigated material properties of Baxter and competitor products, conducted statistical analyses, and conceptualized safety improvements for production process deficiencies. From 2003-2015, they worked as a Principal R&D Engineer at St. Jude Medical, where they worked on pulse field ablation (PFA) commercial catheter project design, including clinical support, next generation Cryoballoon catheter design for impedance navigation, AFS Conjoint effort on the catheter technologies, Statistical Shape Modeling (SSM) effort to build anatomical substrate ablation platform, and 6FC12 Sheath team. From 2015-2022, they worked at Medtronic as a Technical Fellow & Senior Principal R&D Engineer, where they led intra-procedural XR/AI/robotics ecosystem roadmap and intellectual property, XR integration of ultrasound proof of concept, remote Future & AI in Robotics Technical Fellow advisor to the CEO, MRI catheter product development team, AFS/CRHF Regenerative Medicine corporate Tech Scouting Deep Dive, and Regenerative Medicine Bionic Cardiac Construct project. Peter N. also led technical assessment of due diligence on structural heart related business development, was an independent reviewer of Science & Technology Conference 3D Printing submissions, and was a facilitator at multiple IP generation events pan-MDT.

Peter N. Braido received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1998 to 2001. Peter N. then went on to receive a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the same university from 2001 to 2003.
