Sonia Valdes

Sonia Valdes has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Sonia started their career in 1991 as an Environmental Counsel at REM fka Home Insurance Company. Sonia continued in this role until 2000 when they joined Chubb Insurance as an Assistant Vice President. In 2013, Valdes became the Vice President at Medmarc, where they were responsible for managing and training a team of claim professionals, implementing best practices and policies for effective claims management, and providing strategic consulting on business development and growth. Valdes has a strong background in environmental law and insurance claims.

Sonia Valdes attended Rutgers University from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry/Zoology. Later, they attended Brooklyn Law School from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
