Pedro Salamoni

Pedro Salamoni has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and data science. Pedro started their career as a Data Engineer at Prefeitura de Cuiabá, where they identified, designed, and implemented internal process improvements and worked with various teams to assist with data-related technical matters. Pedro then worked as a Data Science Researcher at UFMT - Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, where they developed machine learning scripts and analyzed algorithms for problem-solving.

Pedro later joined Tecnomapas as a Data Engineer, where they implemented ETL processes, developed Python scripts to collect data, and created infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading from different sources. Pedro also worked on the implementation and establishment of data management models and policies for the GEOSMADES system. Pedro continued their work at Tecnomapas as a Principal Data Engineer at Mogo, where they built the infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL and AWS big data technologies. Pedro collaborated with various teams to define project scopes, monitored production data jobs, and provided incident resolution for data needs of internal and external customers.

Pedro's most recent role is as a Founding Data Engineer at MedMe Health (YC W21), where they are responsible for data engineering tasks to support the startup's operations. Throughout their career, Pedro has demonstrated their expertise in data engineering and has been involved in various aspects of data processing, management, and analysis.

Pedro Salamoni completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from UFMT - Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued an Associate's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham between 2013 and 2014. Pedro also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering from Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso from 2009 to 2015. In addition, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Paving: Road and Airport Pavements from Faculdade CGESP from 2016 to 2019.

Pedro Salamoni holds several additional certifications. Pedro obtained the "Verified International Academic Qualifications" certification from the World Education Services in March 2020. In September 2019, they earned the "Outstanding Student of Computer Science" certification from Sociedade Brasileira de Computação - SBC. Lastly, Pedro obtained the "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2020.
