Marcela R. Villamil

Marcela R. Villamil, MD has a strong background in clinical research and operations. From 2006 onwards, they worked at Medpace as a Senior Clinical Research Associate/Lead Clinical Research Associate. In this role, they were responsible for selecting clinical investigators for new trials, training and overseeing research sites, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Prior to this, from 2002 to 2006, they worked at the Metabolic Research Institute as a Clinical Operation Supervisor. In this position, they implemented standard operating procedures, increased productivity, and served as a liaison between pharmaceutical sponsors and management.

Marcela R. Villamil, MD completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from 1985 to 1991. Subsequently, from 1993 to 1996, they pursued an Internal Medicine Residency Program at the same institution, ultimately becoming an Internal Medicine Specialist.
