Serena Allen

Principal Scientist, Clinical Laboratory at Medpace

Serena Allen, PhD has extensive experience in the field of clinical laboratory science. Serena worked at Medpace as a Principal Scientist, Clinical Laboratory, where they demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in multiple analytical methods. Serena managed validation projects, trained and mentored scientists, and served as a scientific consultant to external clients. Serena also worked as a Senior Scientist at Medpace before joining Cheeky Scientist as an Associate. Prior to that, Serena worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at East Tennessee State University, where they led preclinical research projects and developed a novel HPLC assay. Serena also identified a drug-drug interaction related to synthetic cathinone mixtures. Serena also served as a Pharmacy Education Teaching Assistant at ETSU Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy and as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Edinburgh, where their work focused on ophthalmic stem cell transplants and drug development.

Serena Allen, PhD, earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2011. Serena then pursued a Master of Science degree in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry from The University of Edinburgh in 2013. Serena later received their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from East Tennessee State University in 2018.
