Derek Hartman

Derek Hartman has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Derek started their career as an IT Technician at DIY Group Inc in 2011, where they performed standard upkeep of computers and servers. In 2012, they joined Ivy Tech Community College as a Computer Lab Technician, responsible for maintaining and responding to computer labs. Derek then transitioned to Vera Bradley in 2015, initially working as a Store Support Technician, providing technical support to multiple stores across the United States. During their time at Vera Bradley, they gradually advanced to the role of System Administrator, managing various aspects of system administration, including software deployment and configuration using PowerShell scripting. Derek'srole grew to encompass administration of the System Center Suite, as well as collaborating with departments like HR, Finance, and Retail. In 2023, Derek joined MedPro Group as a Cyber Security Engineer.

Derek Hartman attended Carroll High School from 2004 to 2008, where they pursued a general curriculum covering subjects such as English, Science, Math, History, and Spanish. After completing high school, they went on to enroll in Ball State University from 2008 to 2012. During this period, Derek obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, they also hold certifications as an Okta Certified Administrator and an Okta Certified Professional, which were obtained in October 2021.
