Lisa Velez

Lisa Velez is a Claim Consultant for Health Care Professionals at MedPro Group since January 2023. Velez has served as Vice Chair of the Animal Law Committee at The Chicago Bar Association since June 2018 and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Section Council, Racial & Ethnic Minorities and the Law Committee, and the Diversity Leadership Council since 2014. In addition, Velez is a Licensed Illinois Humane Investigator at Save-A-Pet Adoption Center, where responsibilities include responding to animal cruelty complaints. Velez was a Partner at Cassiday Schade LLP from June 2005 to January 2023, focusing on medical malpractice and professional liability, and held roles such as Director at Large, Secretary, and Vice President on the Board of Directors. Prior to that, Velez was a Senior Associate at McBreen Kopko McKay & Nora and Garretson & Santora, specializing in insurance defense and complex litigation.
