Product Design Engineer at Medrobotics

Mario Valenza has over 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering. Mario began their career in 1999 as a Project Mechanical Engineer at Varian Semiconductor, where they designed ion beam analyzer magnet, welded vacuum chamber, graphite beam dump, optic & laser alignment mounting mechanism, water-cooling, and welded structural frames consisting of plates and tubular extrusions. In 2001, they moved to Agfa as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they performed design analysis of precision mechanism, plastic and metal parts, shipping brackets and RIM molded & sheet metal enclosures for product packaging. From 2004 to 2006, they were a Mechanical Design Engineer at Hologic, Inc., where they worked on cost reductions on X-Ray imaging equipment and sheet metal packaging, RIM molding, Thermoforming, Textile packages. In 2006, they joined Parker Hannifin as a Mechanical Project Design Engineer and led the design, development, prototype and testing of portable anesthesia device. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Sustaining Mechanical Engineer at Teradyne, performing corrective action and root cause analysis of electromechanical Test Equipment. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Product Development Engineer at Bluefin Robotics, designing payload systems for deep sea autonomous underwater vehicles. Mario then moved to CeQur as an R&D Design Engineer, applying Engineering and Design on Insulin delivery device for type two diabetes. Most recently, they have been a Product Design Engineer at Medrobotics Corporation, working on development & design of Image Guided Surgical Robotic Systems, small mechanisms / laparoscopic Instruments, assembling and testing robotic drives on cadavers, and coordinating procurement of all new components.

Mario Valenza attended Wentworth Institute of Technology from 1971 to 1973, where they earned an Associate of Science in Mechanical Engineering (ASME). Mario then attended Northeastern University from 1973 to 1976, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
