Nickolas Means

Nickolas Means is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in developing and managing technical teams across various companies. Currently serving as the VP of Engineering at MedScout since April 2024, Nickolas also co-hosts the Managing Up podcast, focusing on technology leadership. Prior roles include VP of Engineering at Sym, where significant improvements were made to engineering processes, and Director of Engineering at GitHub, where Nickolas established the Security Products engineering group and led key projects, including the integration of Dependabot. Other notable positions include VP of Engineering at ValueHealth LLC and WellMatch, where Nickolas demonstrated exceptional team leadership and integration skills during mergers. Nickolas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Baylor University.
