Abhi Mehrotra, MD, MBA, FACEP has extensive work experience in various roles within the medical field. Abhi is currently serving as an Adjunct Professor of Business at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School since October 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Executive Advisor at Excelerate Health Ventures starting from November 2020.

Dr. Mehrotra has a long-standing affiliation with The University of North Carolina Department of Emergency Medicine. Abhi has served as a Clinical Professor since February 2019 and also held the role of Vice Chair, Strategic Initiatives & Operations since July 2015. In addition, they have been an Associate Professor since August 2013 and previously served as the Assistant Medical Director since July 2003. From August 2010 to July 2015, they held the position of Chief, Division of Quality and Performance.

Apart from their academic and administrative roles, Dr. Mehrotra co-founded MedScribes in February 2016 and has been serving as the CEO. Abhi Mehrotra, MD, MBA, FACEP received their BA in Chemistry from The Ohio State University in 1996. Abhi then went on to attend The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where they obtained their MD degree in 2000. In 2015, Abhi pursued further education at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Strategy & Entrepreneurship.
