I Chu Liao has diverse work experience in the field of user experience (UX) design and research. They are currently working as a Team Lead UX at Foundever since September 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded Meds2Go in 2016, where they led UX research and analysis on patient experience with cooled medication. They also defined and evaluated features for the MVP product and managed strategic roadmap planning for product launch.
From 2018 to 2022, I Chu Liao worked at Qelp, a SYKES company, where they held the positions of Senior UX Designer and UX Designer. They were involved in UX design for websites and AR applications, conducted sessions with stakeholders and users to define digital features, and set up usability testing lab services.
Before that, at Avanade from 2017 to 2018, they served as a UX Analyst - Experience Design, focusing on UX and UI design for SharePoint websites and HoloLens POC applications. They also facilitated sessions and set up usability testing lab services.
In 2017, at IceMobile, they worked as a UX Researcher in the Department of UX Lab. They translated consumer interview results into an experience map, analyzed and categorized key insights, and helped retail clients improve their app experiences using small and big data.
During their graduation internship in 2015 at Reinier de Graaf, I Chu Liao conducted UX research and designed an app/web service solution for patients undergoing rehabilitation after surgery. They co-created the app/web service with surgeons and patients, focusing on long-distance monitoring features and aligning with the hospital's business goals.
At Fudura B.V. in 2014, they worked as a Context Mapping Researcher, conducting research on the recreational market potential in energy supplies. They also designed a service package for targeted companies.
In 2014, at Erasmus MC, I Chu Liao worked as a UX Researcher, focusing on user experience research on child patients and observing their journey before, during, and after lung-function testing.
In 2013, at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, they worked as a UX Designer, applying positive design theories to improve the emotional well-being of KLM crew members. They designed a conceptual space for the crew members to enhance positive emotions and represent the positive image of KLM.
In 2012, as a Graduate Student Teaching Assistant at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, they assisted in teaching a course on special topics related to the cultural industry, emphasizing the importance of localized cultural heritage in design.

I CHU LIAO pursued a Bachelor of Art and Design with a minor in Finance at Asia University (TW) from 2007 to 2011. Following that, they attended the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology from 2011 to 2012, where they obtained a Master's degree in the Department of Creative Design. Lastly, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Design for Interaction at Delft University of Technology from 2012 to 2016.
