Susana Ricardo Vitorino has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical trials and project management. Susana began their career as a Ph.D. student at the University of Birmingham, specializing in DNA recognition for cancer therapy. Susana then worked as a Clinical Data Manager and Clinical Trials Administrator/Data Manager at Imperial College London, where they were responsible for trial administration and data management tasks. Susana later joined Genomics England as a Project Manager in the field of cancer research.
Susana also served as a Project Manager at GEIS (Grupo Español de Investigación en Sarcomas), focusing on cancer projects. Currently, they are employed at MEDSIR, where they hold various roles such as Trial & Client Unit Director and Global Clinical Trials Manager - Client dedicated, overseeing the management and coordination of clinical trials. Throughout their career, Susana has demonstrated a strong commitment to ensuring trials are conducted to the highest standards and completed within budget and timelines.
Susana Ricardo Vitorino has a strong education history in the field of chemistry. Susana completed their Honors Degree in Chemistry at the University of Lisbon from 1999 to 2004. Following this, they pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Emerging Infectious Diseases at the University of Lisbon- Faculty of Medicine from 2005 to 2007. Susana then furthered their education at the University of Birmingham, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from 2007 to 2011.
