Ryan Connaughton

Senior Software Engineer at Medstrat

Ryan Connaughton has worked in the software engineering field since 2005. Their career began at GE where they held an Information Management Leadership Position Intern from 2005-2006. During this time, they assisted various IT project teams in transitioning to a new project management system and initiated a new metadata project to aid in database migration. Ryan also organized two Information Technology Fairs in 2005 and 2006. In 2010, they returned to GE as a Global Research Center Summer Intern, where they initiated a project to perform real-time gaze tracking of individuals in medium-resolution video.

In 2012, Ryan joined Medstrat, Inc. as a Software Engineer. During their time there, they contributed to the design and implementation of software to allow medical image archiving and manipulation over the web. Ryan also served as a primary contributor to the design and implementation of the Medstrat administration web portal for their next-generation software product.

In 2015, Ryan joined Amazon as a Software Development Engineer I and was promoted to Software Development Engineer II the following year. In 2017, they returned to Medstrat, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer.

Ryan Connaughton received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Notre Dame in 2006. Ryan then went on to receive their Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the same university in 2009. Finally, they completed their PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2012.
