Pete Scherer has held various roles in the IT industry since 1976. From 1976 to 1993, they worked at Multigraphics as an Associate Engineer, where they were responsible for administering AutoCAD workstations and Novell LAN, and was involved in decision-making for new purchases of equipment and software. From 1993 to 1995, they worked at Amerace Electronics as a Designer/Drafter, where they were responsible for administering AutoCAD workstations, Novell LAN, and was involved in decision-making for new purchases of equipment and software. From 1995 to 2013, they worked at MedTel Services, LLC (formerly Teltronics, Inc.) as a Senior Network Administrator, where they designed, deployed, and administered Local and Wide area networks with offices in multiple locations, and engineered and managed helpdesk systems. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Trinity Services Group as a Systems Engineer, where they were part of a two-person team for the operational planning and projects related to the Data Center and organized and made recommendations on the allocation of IT resources. Since 2018, they have been working at Medtel Communications as an IT Manager, focusing on ERP migration and moving the company from Infor BPCS to Infor CSI.
Pete Scherer attended New Horizons in 2009, where they studied Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010. Pete also attended Harper College, where they studied Mechanical Design. In 2016, they obtained CompTIA A+ ce and CompTIA Network+ ce certifications from CompTIA.
