Andrea Goldsmith

Dr. Goldsmith has served as the Stephen Harris professor in the School of Engineering at Stanford University since 2012 and is director of Stanford’s Wireless Systems Laboratory. She has served as a professor, associate professor or assistant professor at Stanford University since January 1999. Dr. Goldsmith co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer of Plume WiFi (formerly, Accerlera, Inc.) from August 2010 to August 2014 and Quantenna Communications, Inc. (formerly, mySource Communications, Inc.) from 2005 to 2009 and previously held positions at Maxim Technologies, MemoryLink Corporation and AT&T Bell Laboratories.

Previously, she was an assistant professor of Electrical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology. Dr. Goldsmith currently serves on the Board of Directors for Crown Castle International Corp. She is also co-principal investigator for the NSF Center for Science of Information and is on the technical advisory boards of Sequans Communications and Cohere Technologies. She is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Dr. Goldsmith is a frequent lecturer and writer regarding wireless technologies.
