Bushan Purushothaman

Bushan Purushothaman is an experienced Senior R&D Engineering Manager at Medtronic, leading R&D Engineering teams in the Structural Heart operating unit since April 2009. Responsibilities include developing high-performance teams through vision creation, talent development, and coaching, as well as serving as a functional leader in electrochemistry, materials reliability, and biocompatibility. Prior to Medtronic, Bushan served as Lead Scientist at AIC Labs, where significant advancements in metal plating technology were achieved, and worked as a Research Associate at Case Western Reserve University, focusing on innovative sensor technology and battery performance. Bushan holds a Doctorate and Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering from Central Electrochemical Research Institute.
