Sathappan Arumugam

Sathappan Arumugam has extensive experience in engineering and product development, currently serving as an Engineering Program Manager at Medtronic since July 2014. In this role, Sathappan manages product lines and manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards while implementing cost improvement projects. Previously, at Clariant, Sathappan was an Application Development Engineer, focusing on developing colorants for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors, and managing technical projects. Prior experiences include roles as a Research Assistant at Metabolix Inc/UMass Lowell, where process improvements for blown films were developed, and as a Research Associate at SABIC Innovative Plastics, conducting material validation and quality assurance. Sathappan holds a Master’s degree in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Technology from Anna University Chennai.
