Dimitrios Terzis

Managing Director at MeduSoil

Dimitrios Terzis has been working in the field of geotechnical engineering since 2013. Dimitrios began as an Engineering Consultant Intern at GEOTER S.A DIDASKALOU and then moved on to become a Lecturer and Ph.D. Candidate & Teaching Assistant at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). In 2018, they founded MeduSoil, where they serve as the Managing Director. At MeduSoil, they are responsible for developing the world's first ground bio-stabilization technology and applying it to mainstream construction problems. Dimitrios has delivered talks at the 19th ICSMGE in Seoul, South Korea and the 6th ISDCG in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Dimitrios Terzis obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mechanics, GeoEngineering, Advanced microstructural characterization, and BioGeoChemistry from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 2014 and 2017. Dimitrios then attended Ecole spéciale des Travaux publics, du Bâtiment et de l'Industrie from 2011 to 2012, where they received an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering as an exchange student. Dimitrios completed their M.Sc. in Civil Engineering, with a thesis on offshore wind turbines, from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki between 2008 and 2014.
