Peter Hockney

Peter Hockney currently holds the position of Head of Development Management at Medway Council, a role assumed in November 2023. Prior to this, Peter served at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council as Development Manager and Team Leader in Development Management from November 2014 to November 2023, where management of a planning department team was a key responsibility. Earlier, from January 2007 to November 2014, Peter worked at Maidstone Borough Council as Interim Development Manager, overseeing the Development Management function, and as Principal Planning Officer, where responsibilities included handling major planning applications and managing a team of officers. Peter Hockney obtained a Master's Degree in Town Planning from London South Bank University (2001-2005) and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from the University of Plymouth (1996-1999).
