Maranata Tegegne is an accomplished creative professional with extensive experience in film direction and marketing. Currently serving as the Founder of Meedo Records since March 2021, Maranata also operates as a Freelance Film Director for Shifta and holds the position of Creative and Film Director at Spotlight Communications and Marketing Ltd since July 2018. Previously, from December 2012 to July 2017, Maranata was the Creative Director at Zeleman, specializing in developing creative concepts for comprehensive advertising campaigns, including television commercials. Maranata holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Small Business Administration/Management from Curtin University and a diploma from Lycee Guebre Mariam.

Meedo records is a Pan African record label and artist development company based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Since its recent formation in 2021, Meedo has been playing the leading role in laying out the ground work to redefine the way music is produced and consumed in the country. We discover, support and empower artists to take risks and experiment with their crafts to unlock their capacity and create some of the most original music in the continent.
