Syed Tanveer Hussain

Syed Tanveer Hussain currently serves as Group Executive at Meezan Bank Limited, overseeing the advances portfolio, which includes Corporate, Commercial, and Investment Banking, since July 2023. From July 2013 to May 2022, Syed served as SEVP & General Manager of Commercial Banking, successfully managing eight business verticals and leading a team through significant growth. Beginning as SVP and Head of Commercial Assets at Meezan Bank in 2013, Syed onboarded over 150 large commercial clients across various regions in Pakistan. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Corporate Islamic Banking at Bank Alfalah Limited from 2006 to 2013, where Syed enhanced the corporate portfolio, and as Deputy Head of Finance at Shafi Group, converting significant credit facilities to Islamic Banking. Syed holds a Chartered Accountant degree from ICAEW, an MBA in Finance & Marketing from the Institute of Business Administration, and recently completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Additionally, Syed is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant.
