Don Strickland has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Don started their career as a Plumbing Designer at Carter & Burgess from 1996 to 2000. Don then worked as a Project Manager at Cubellis from 2004 to 2006, followed by a role as a Project Engineer at BR+A Consulting Engineers from 2006 to 2008. Don then joined EwingCole as a Project Engineer from 2008 to 2013.
In 2013, Don joined AECOM as a Senior Associate, serving as a Project Engineer and Discipline Lead until 2015. Following that, they worked at tk1sc, where they held various roles including Senior Associate, Project Engineer, Director, and Senior Director in the Plumbing Discipline between 2015 and 2023.
In addition to their work at tk1sc, Don also contributed to the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. Don served as the Orange County Chapter President from 2011 to 2014 and as the Region 4 Director on the Society Board of Directors from 2014 to 2018. Don also held the role of Vice President Technical on the Society Board of Directors from 2018 to 2020 and served as the Society Credentialing Committee Chairman from 2016 to 2020.
Currently, Don is the Director of Specification Sales at Mega Western Sales, Inc. since 2023.
Don Strickland has a varied education history. In 1988, they graduated from Pennsville High School after completing their general studies. Don then went on to attend Newark High School in Newark, DE, from 1990 to 1992, where they also pursued general studies.
Moving forward, Don attended Delaware Technical and Community College from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained an AAS degree in Engineering.
In 2010, Don completed a certificate program at Westech College, where they received a Certificate of Completion in AutoDesk Revit 2009.
Additionally, Don has obtained two additional certifications. In April 2010, they became certified in Plumbing Design, and in May 2013, they received certification in Green Plumbing Design, both from BadgeCert.
