Prior to these roles, Nilay Balkiz was involved in network marketing with Mega Holdings starting in September 2014 and worked as a Guidance Teacher at Çağla Koleji from January 2014 to August 2015. Nilay Balkiz holds a degree in Psychological Counseling and Guidance from Marmara University, attained between 2005 and 2011.
