Alex Ryding

Alex Ryding is a Manufacturing Engineer at Meggitt since July 2023, following a role as Strategic Manufacturing Engineer at CMR Surgical, where Alex led the engineering project management of a new 7000 m² manufacturing facility. Prior experience includes serving as Development Engineer at Far-UK Ltd, directing multi-million-pound projects in collaboration with major firms like Raytheon Technologies and Mercedes Benz-Daimler, focusing on lightweight composite structures for various sectors. Alex also contributed as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Rolls-Royce, investigating high temperature overaging effects on nickel super-alloys. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The University of Sheffield and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, along with A-levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry from Cardinal Newman College Preston.
