Jamie Markand

Jamie Markand is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the aerospace and defense industries, currently serving as Engineering Director for Optical and Motion Products at Meggitt since March 2019. Previously, Jamie held leadership roles at Meggitt Control Systems and Meggitt Safety Systems, where responsibilities included resource planning, process improvement, and serving as the technical lead for major fire detection programs for business jets. With a foundational background as a Staff Systems Engineer at L-3 Communications Ocean Systems and an Avionics Design Engineer at Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, Jamie has developed comprehensive expertise in software requirements, systems design, and integration. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, earned in 2003.
