Dennis Lakey

Dennis Lakey has extensive work experience in the engineering and project management field. Dennis is currently the Director of Project Management at MEGI Engineering since June 2018. Before that, they worked at Jacobs Engineering Group Incorporation from April 2009 to June 2018 as a Project Manager, successfully completing multiple capital projects in various industries. Prior to Jacobs, Dennis worked at SP Newsprint Co. from January 2006 to April 2009, where they served as the Engineering, Safety, and Continuous Improvement Manager and later as the Power and Utilities Department Manager. At SP Newsprint, they achieved a reduction in lost-time injuries and delivered capital projects on time and within budget. Before that, they held positions at SP Newsprint Company as a Senior Engineer from June 1990 to January 2000, at BE&K Engineering Company, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer from June 1988 to May 1990, and at James Machine Works, Inc. as a Design Engineer from October 1987 to May 1988. Throughout their career, Dennis has demonstrated expertise in managing projects, improving safety, and implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

Dennis Lakey pursued their education from 1983 to 1987 at Louisiana Tech University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
