Elène Siem is a Senior Manager at Meijburg & Co. Elène has also worked as an Assistant Curator at Modus Vivendi BV and as a member of the World Tang Soo Do Association.
Elène has always been interested in writing and sharing their knowledge with others. This is what led their to co-write the VAT book 'Kluwer Fiscaal memo btw' in 2017 and 2018. The book covers the most important Dutch VAT legislation as well as relevant case law in a practical and easily understandable way.
Elène's interest in helping others also led their to work as an assistant curator, where they were responsible for advising the Court on the status and progress of insolvency cases, preparing financial settlements, and distributing inventories.
Elène's passion for martial arts led their to achieve a Black Belt degree in Tang Soo Do in 2003 and a 3rd Dan degree in 2010. During their years of training, they taught several classes and attended various championships. Some of their notable accomplishments include winning first place at the European Championships in 2011 and third place at the European Championships in 2007.
Elène Siem has a degree in both Tax Law and Dutch Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Elène also has a post-graduate degree in Europese Fiscale Studies - Post-Master Indirect Taxes from the same school. Furthermore, they have a Master of Laws (LLM) in Tax Law and another LLM in Corporate Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Finally, they are a member of The Dutch Association of Tax Advisors.
