Tom McMahan

Tom McMahan has extensive experience in food safety and quality compliance, currently serving as the Director of Food Safety & Quality Compliance at Meijer since February 2012. In this role, Tom interfaces with various operational leaders to ensure compliance with food safety standards and manages the development of key regulatory metrics. Prior to Meijer, Tom held significant positions in the food safety domain, including Brigade Commander in the U.S. Army Reserve since 1992, Senior Manager of Food Safety and Training at SUPERVALU, Division Food Safety Manager at Albertsons, and Area Food Safety Manager at Jewel-Osco. Tom's educational credentials include a Master of Strategic Studies from the US Army War College, a Master of Science in Food Safety from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Northern Illinois University.
