Gemma Estrada Girona

Gemma Estrada Girona is a seasoned scientific professional with extensive experience in research and laboratory management. Currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at MeiraGTx since September 2021, Gemma has previously held significant roles at the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour, where responsibilities included Viral Vector Core Manager and Viral Vectors Research Scientist from January 2019 to October 2021. Prior experience includes a position as Laboratory Officer in Charge and Research Technician at EMBL from November 2012 to January 2018. Gemma holds two Master of Science degrees in Cell and Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University and Molecular Medicine from Brunel University London, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
