Paul Sladen

Paul Sladen, PhD, is a pre-clinical research scientist at MeiraGTx, specializing in the development of novel AAV therapies for inherited ocular diseases since October 2021. Prior to this role, Paul served as a postdoctoral researcher at UCL, where research focused on modeling Leber Congenital Amaurosis using patient-derived iPSCs. Earlier experience includes work as a research technician at University College London, conducting molecular analysis of lung cancer, and as a research assistant at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, investigating Parkinson's disease. Paul holds a PhD in Neuro-ophthalmology from UCL, an MRes in Inflammation from Queen Mary University of London, and a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Bath, complemented by A-Levels in Mathematics, Biology, and Product Design.
