Stephanie Monaghan O'Brien

Stephanie has more than two decades of experience at Morningside working with venture-backed companies focused on novel science. She focuses on early-stage companies, working with CEOs on building management teams and developing business plans. She has served on numerous public and private company boards, including Aduro Biotech (NASDAQ: ADRO), Apellis (NASDAQ: APLS), ViOptix, Inc., I-Behavior, Inc., Natural Polymer International Corp., Serica Technologies, Inc., Vigeo Therapeutics, Inc., Linc Global, Inc., Canopy Education, Inc. Stephanie received her AB degree, cum laude, from Harvard College and her JD degree from New York University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, she worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, NA, where she completed the loan officer credit training program and then worked in international portfolio analysis. After law school, Stephanie spent nine years as a corporate lawyer with Hale and Dorr in the Boston and Washington, DC offices, working primarily with venture capital finance and startup companies.
