Mark MacLaine

Mark Maclaine is an accomplished co-founder and Chief Learning Officer at Uppercent, where responsibilities encompass leading support for creators and overseeing video content and course production. In addition to ongoing roles as a presenter and writer for MEL Science, Mark is a co-founder and board member of the Tutorfair Foundation, which addresses educational inequality and has supported over 10,000 students. With a rich background in the music and film industry since 2002, Mark has directed numerous films, music videos, and commercials, while also serving as a private tutor and education engagement specialist since 1999. As a music producer, Mark has collaborated on more than 50 albums and created music scores for various films and television series. Previously, Mark held roles as co-founder and CEO of Toxic Arts, and co-founder and Director of Education at Tutorfair, culminating in a successful exit from the latter. An education in Communication with Audio Visual Production from King's College London and London Metropolitan University further solidifies Mark's expertise in the field.
