Ellen Davis

Director at Melanoma Research Alliance

A graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Ellen Davis is currently an active principal in Makana Beverages, a manufacturer of probiotic drinks. Over the years, Ms. Davis has served as an investor and advisor for several early stage businesses. She previously worked for Merrill Lynch in its high yield bond department and was an associate in corporate finance at Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Committed to advancing medical research, Ms. Davis joined the Weill Cornell Medicine Board of Overseers in 2015 and serves on its special committee on research, as well as its membership and nominating committee. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Melanoma Research Alliance and is a member of the advisory board of the Vagelos Life Sciences and Management, School of Arts and Sciences/Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania. A leader in other non-profit endeavors, Ms. Davis created and launched a virtual JCC platform for Greenwich, Connecticut and currently serves as the chairman of the board of JCC/UJA Greenwich. Ellen is a member of the Trustees’ Council of Penn Women and served as a member of the Horace Mann School board of trustees from 2009-2015.
