Staci Rosbury

Staci Rosbury is an experienced music educator and administrator with a diverse background in the arts. Currently serving as the Administrator for the Indian River Symphonic Association since July 2018, Staci manages concert events, ticket sales, customer service, financial records, and digital marketing efforts. Additionally, Staci has been the Conductor of the Melbourne Municipal Band since June 2010, leading a large ensemble in numerous performances throughout the year. Prior roles include Music Director at the Henegar Center for The Arts, Elementary Music Teacher at Imagine Schools at West Melbourne, and private flute instruction. Staci holds a Master of Music in Conducting and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Florida, and has completed a College Credit Certification in Business Management & Marketing from Eastern Florida State College.

Melbourne Municipal Band

This community band was established in 1965 with 16 members in Melbourne, Florida. Today, the band has more than 80 members, with many offshoot groups. The Melbourne band plays free concerts for the citizens of Brevard County nearly every month, and also contributes to the community through parades, patriotic concerts and ceremonial performances. In a typical year, the band serves 69,000 concert attendees and its members give 27,000 hours of community service in the form of rehearsals and performance time. OUR GOALS: - To promote the enjoyment of quality band music - To contribute to the American cultural experience through concerts and patriotic music - To give free concerts to our community - To promote the appreciation of Big Band Jazz through Swingtime Jazz Band concerts and dances - To contribute to the musical education of our members and audiences
