John Woodland

John Woodland has been with Melbourne Water since 1998, holding various leadership positions including Head of Waterway & Catchment Services South East and acting general manager roles. Responsibilities have encompassed managing extensive water supply services, overseeing a significant sewerage treatment plant, and handling customer agreements. In addition to experience at Melbourne Water, John serves as Director for the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (Victorian Division) and is a fellow of the Williamson Community Leadership Program. Earlier roles include project leadership at Natural Resources & Environment and engineering consultancy at HydroTechnology. John holds multiple degrees in civil engineering, water engineering, and energy and resources law from esteemed institutions, along with a course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
