Lachlan Bakewell

Lachlan Bakewell is an experienced Chief Information Officer with a strong background in leading ICT functions across various organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Melbourne Water since June 2023, Lachlan previously held the same title at Eastern Health from December 2020 to July 2023, overseeing a team of over 70 and managing budgets up to $80 million annually. Prior roles include Head of Business Technology/Program Director at Mercy Health Australia, where Lachlan successfully led the recovery of a $21 million ERP implementation, and Head of IT/Business Solutions Manager at Villa Maria, directing IT strategies across 45 sites. Lachlan's career began at National Australia Bank and includes consulting positions at SMS Management & Technology. Lachlan holds a Master of Technology in Information Technology and degrees in Nursing from RMIT University.
