Stijn Reekmans

Stijn Reekmans has extensive experience in system and application engineering, currently serving as the System and Application Engineering Director for OptoMEMS at Melexis since October 2008. Responsibilities include overseeing MEMS pressure and MEMS FIR product developments, road-mapping, innovation, project execution, and team development. Stijn has also held various roles at Melexis, including Development Manager, Product Development Process Owner, Senior Project Manager & System Architect, and Project Manager, all focused on ensuring the achievement of technical, commercial, and quality targets for development projects. In addition to industry experience, Stijn contributes to academia as a Design Engineer at KU Leuven and serves on the Advisory Educational Board for Electrical Engineering at Ghent University. Stijn holds a Ph.D. in Circuits and Systems from Ghent University and has pursued further education at INSEAD, focusing on Strategic R&D Management, Managing Partnerships & Strategic Alliances, and Systems Engineering Management.
