Global Loyalty Marketing & Partnerships Lead En Meliá Hotels International at Melia Hotels International SA

Juanma Barea has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Juanma started their career in 2009 at Hotel Elba Costaballena, where they worked at the front desk and as a luggage porter. Juanma then worked at Hotel Malmaison Oxford in England, gaining language skills and experience in reservations and customer service. Juanma also worked at Hotel Monasterio de san Miguel and Hotel Dunas Puerto, where they further developed their reception and customer service skills. In 2013, they became the Front Desk Manager at Ola Hotels in Palma de Mallorca, focusing on international clients and improving their language skills. From 2014 to 2015, Juanma worked as the Front Desk & Social Media Manager at Princesa de Éboli, implementing social media strategies and advertising. Juanma then joined Meliá Hotels International in 2015 as a Global Key Account Manager, responsible for detecting business opportunities and coordinating the commercial strategy with the Marketing department. Juanma later held various roles at Meliá Hotels International, including B2B Sales Development and Loyalty Marketing Manager. Currently, Juanma is the Global Loyalty Marketing & Partnership Lead at Meliá Hotels International.

Juanma Barea has a diverse education history. In 2005-2008, they pursued a Diplomatura en Turismo at the Universidad de Cádiz. Later, in 2013-2014, they studied Marketing Digital at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. Juanma continued their education in 2015-2016, obtaining a degree in Hotel Management from the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria. In 2017, they focused on Analítica Web at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. Most recently, in 2019-2020, they completed a Máster in Marketing Digital & ecommerce at the Universitat de les Illes Balears. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Campañas de Búsqueda en Google Ads from Google Ads in April 2020, Fundamentos de Marketing Digital from The Open University in 2020, and Certificado Google Analytics from Google in December 2019. Juanma also holds a First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge, obtained in 2010.
