Rick Catalano

Rick Catalano has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Rick currently works at Melillo Consulting as a Senior Solutions Architect, a role they began in May 2021. Prior to this, Rick worked at Dell Technologies as a vArchitect | Modern Data Center, starting in May 2018.

Before their time at Dell Technologies, Rick held various roles at Core BTS. From September 2016 to May 2018, they served as the National Director - Storage & Virtualization. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. Solution Architect from August 2009 to May 2018, where they were responsible for technical pre-sales and statement of work preparation for virtualization, storage, backup, recovery, and archive solutions. From July 2009 to March 2011, Rick was a Solutions Architect - Storage and Virtualization at Core BTS.

Rick's earlier work experience includes a role as the Director, Enterprise Solutions at Plan B Technologies from January 2009 to June 2009, where they were responsible for technical pre-sales and statement of work preparation for various technologies. Prior to that, they worked at MTM Technologies as a Practice Manager from March 2005 to January 2009, where they were responsible for technical pre-sales and statement of work preparation for Citrix, Microsoft, and associated technologies, and achieved significant sales growth.

Rick's career began at Info Systems, Inc in 1990, where they held various positions. From January 2002 to March 2005, they served as a Managing Consultant responsible for server architecture and managed a team of consultants. Prior to that, from January 1998 to January 2002, Rick worked as an Enterprise Consultant, designing and implementing solutions for major manufacturers. Rick started their career at Info Systems, Inc as a PC and Network Technician from November 1990 to January 1998. Throughout their career, Rick has consistently conducted technical presentations and provided enterprise architectural design for various technologies to customers in both small and large groups.

Rick Catalano attended Brandywine High School from 1982 to 1986. After that, they enrolled in Delaware Technical College from 1986 to 1988, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Rick obtained the EMCTA certification from EMC CORP. in December 2011.
