Jason Sheltzer

Dr. Jason Sheltzer, co-founder, is a faculty member in Genetics and Surgical Oncology at the Yale School of Medicine, where his laboratory studies cancer genomics and tumor evolution. Dr. Sheltzer established his own independent research lab immediately after graduation from his PhD program and his research has been recognized with several awards, including the Gilula Prize from the American Society for Cell Biology, the Young Investigator Award from the Breast Cancer Alliance, and the Presidential Early Career Science and Engineering Award (PECASE), which is the highest honor given by the federal government to early-career scientists. He has served as a drug development consultant for several international pharmaceutical corporations and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Tyra Biosciences, which completed its IPO in fall 2021. Dr. Sheltzer received a B.A. in Molecular Biology, summa cum laude, from Princeton University, and a PhD in Biology from MIT.
