John Shrefler

John Shrefler joined the Foundation in April 2023 as a DevOps/Automation Engineer. He is responsible for implementing cloud infrastructure for the Mellon business applications and building an automation framework to optimize manual processes in the software development lifecycle.

Prior to joining the Foundation, he was a DevOps Software Engineer at multiple startups in Silicon Valley in the AI robotics space, where he used his expertise in software development, automation, and systems engineering to ensure the efficient creation and delivery of high-quality software.

He earned his BS in chemical engineering at Penn State and his MS in chemical engineering at the University of Florida. He is currently pursuing his MS in computer science at Georgia Tech.
