Kashish Bastola is an undergraduate student at Harvard University, pursuing dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in American History and South Asian Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics, with a language citation in Nepali. Since January 2025, Kashish has been volunteering with the National Park Service, focusing on the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. In addition, Kashish is involved with multiple organizations, including the Gilder Lehrman Institute as the inaugural Alan Heimert Fellow and the Mellon Foundation as a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow. Research roles include a Kenneth Juster Fellowship at Harvard, a research internship with the Nepal Heritage Recovery Campaign, and archival research with the Southern Rural Development Center. Kashish holds leadership positions with the Phillips Brooks House Association as Community Organizing Chair and has contributed to civic education through teaching in the Harvard CIVICS program. Other notable experiences include fellowships with the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center and Harvard Forest.
