Melissa Ruby

Melissa Ruby, CPA has a diverse work experience with a strong background in finance and accounting. Melissa started their career at HoganTaylor LLP as a CPA from 2000 to 2004. Later, they worked at Beall Barclay & Company, PLC as a CPA from 2006 to 2008. Melissa then joined Micheal Collins & Assoc as a CPA from 2008 to 2010. During this time, they also gained experience as a Licensed Real Estate Broker at Red Hot Realty from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, they transitioned to Melton Truck Lines as the Director of Finance and Corporate Controller, assisting in strategic decision making and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Since 2014, they have been serving as a Reserve Police Officer at Broken Arrow Police Department, providing essential services during special events and natural disasters.

Melissa Ruby, CPA, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of Tulsa, which they obtained between 2021 and 2022. Prior to their MBA, Melissa obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from Langston University. Additionally, they hold a BBA degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Northeastern State University.

In terms of certifications, Melissa is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified by the Oklahoma Accountancy Board, the Arkansas Accountancy Board, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Melissa has also achieved additional certifications as a Police Officer from the Broken Arrow Police Department and as a Real Estate Broker/Sales Agent licensed by the State of Oklahoma: Oklahoma Real Estate Commission.
