Olivia Maria Diaz

Director of Content & Curriculum at Membean

Olivia Maria Diaz has a long and impressive work experience. Olivia Maria began their career in 2004 as an Intern at Wenner Media. In 2007, they moved on to become an Account Manager at TRA (TiVo Research and Analytics). In 2010, they joined the NYC Department of Education as a Program Manager and Instructional Coach and a Founding ELA Teacher and Grade Team Leader. In 2019, they became an Assistant Principal at the Middle Country Central School District, as well as a Co-Founder of the DEI Committee. Additionally, they joined the Editorial Board of the Voices in Urban Education Journal at the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. Currently, Olivia is the Director of Content & Curriculum at Membean, where they work closely with the executive team to conceptualize, prioritize, and deliver content for new product capabilities aligned with curriculum standards.

Olivia Maria Diaz has a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters from Boston College (2002-2004). Olivia Maria then obtained a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters from Stony Brook University Graduate School (2005-2007). Following that, they earned a Master of Arts in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University (2009-2010). Additionally, they have obtained a School Building Leadership (SBL) License from the New York State Education Department in 2015, a Professional Secondary License in ELA from the New York State Education Department in 2005, and a 200 Hour Vinyasa Flow Yoga License from Yoga Alliance.
