Unnati Rao

Unnati Rao currently serves as a Senior Engineer at Membrion, Inc. since April 2022, where efforts focus on membrane-based and electrochemical processes aimed at improving water quality and quantity. Prior to this role, Unnati held positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and the University of California, Los Angeles, where research included innovative separation processes. Unnati's educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UCLA, a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering. Additional experience includes a Graduate Research Assistantship at Carnegie Mellon University and an internship as a Water Resources Specialist at DECO Resources LLC, focusing on the effects of fracking on water supply and analyzing water treatment systems.
