Michel Merten

Michel Merten is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in the audio-visual digitization and cultural heritage sectors. As the Founder and Director of Business Development at Memnon since October 2003, Michel played pivotal roles including Interim CEO EMEA & ROW and Co-CEO, leading Memnon to become a prominent service provider in digital archive preservation after its acquisition by Sony in 2015. Prior experience includes serving as Managing Director at Musica Numeris, where Michel contributed to its growth as a leading European provider of music recording and mastering services, and at Flagey ASBL, where Michel managed the redevelopment of a cultural center in Brussels. Michel's earlier career featured a role as Business Development Team Leader at ExxonMobil, focusing on the EMEA region. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, along with additional studies at HEC Lausanne and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
