David Simon

David Simon is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the design industry. Currently serving as a Board Member at Industrial Design Outreach, Inc. since September 2020, Simon focuses on fostering creativity and self-confidence in youth from marginalized communities through design education. As Managing Partner and Creative Director at Memo Furniture since January 2018, Simon guides creative direction, building on a rich history that includes serving as Director of Product Design and Exploration and Vice President - Creative Director for Herman Miller, where responsibilities included driving design initiatives and aligning them with business strategies. Previous roles include Director of Design at Brandrud, Creative Director and Owner at Simon Design Studio, and Industrial Designer at Metropolitan Furniture. Simon holds a BFA in Industrial Design from California College of the Arts and a degree from the University of Puget Sound.
