Dave King

David King provides executive and strategic leadership for facilities design and construction, engineering, environmental services, foods and nutrition, clinical asset management and security departments. His role focuses on providing leadership and guidance for all Memorial Health construction activities, environment of care and building code compliance.

King began his career at Springfield Memorial Hospital as an electrician. He has held positions including construction manager and director of facilities design and construction. In his more than 30 years with the organization, King has led many facility projects, including the southwest electrical expansion and building of the patient care tower.

King earned an associate’s degree with a focus in electrical maintenance, electronics and heating and ventilation and air conditioning from Lincoln Land Community College. He is also an Illinois-certified firefighter and involved in the Menard County emergency response system.
